About

I am a research scientist with an academic background of biotechnology | life sciences, having worked for almost a decade in Public Health.

 I have worked as a national consultant in various projects in the area of infectious diseases, with reference text books and numerous international and national peer reviewed scientific journal article publications. I was conferred the prestigious Alumni Award for Social Impact by Alma Mater Wollongong University (Australia) in 2019, and prior to that, International Alumni of the Year by my Alma Mater Western Sydney University (Australia) in 2017. Previously, Wollongong University, Australia in 2012 had recognized my work in Nepal with an Excellence Award. 

I have previously worked as advisor to Nepal Government Ministry of Science and Technology and also Ministry of Health and Population and assisted as a member of a high level technical committee formed by Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal Government to tackle global coronavirus outbreak (COVID19). I was invited as an expert to meetings called by Honorable Prime Minister of Nepal, Mr. K P Oli, to advise on COVID19 in June and August 2020. I regularly provide inputs on issues related to life sciences and health research to Nepal government agencies, private sector and academia.
